The ultimate in fireproof records protection. These are the only American-built insulated files with a 2-hour fire and impact rating from Underwriters Laboratories. That's because they are made with Thermocell, a proprietary insulation which provides twice the protection. Available in both letter and legal sizes. A UL-listed, high-security Medeco key lock comes standard. Nine standard colors to choose from. Vertical files also come in custom colors and are available in 2-, 3- or 4-drawer models.   Lateral 31" File Common Specifications UL Ratings: Class 350 1 Hour Records Fire and Impact. Casting: asbestos-free gypsum-based oven dried to <1% moisture with 1" x 2" galvinized steel wire reinforcement; each drawer independently fireproof. Panels: field replaceable body skins and drawers. Standard Finish: electrostatically applied powder-coat black, sand, parchment, platinum, pewter, tan, champagne, taupe, brown (custom colors/premium finishes optional); chrome handles (premium handles optional). Lock: Medeco high security key lock mounted top right corner of top drawer; side catch bypass feature on each drawer. Dial or digital keypad lock options available. Keys: 2 keys included with file; replacement keys may only be ordered by authorized personnel, no duplication possible except through FireKing. Safety Interlock: A built-in safety interlock allows only one drawer to open at a time. Suspension: Accuride® suspensions mounted to metal posts embedded in the body.
