The 972's 15-inch display allows you to use each function in great detail, or
use the "split" screen option to view 2, 3 or 4 images at once. Toggle between
Nobeltec trade vector, Nobeltec raster, or Maptech NOAA raster charts; enhance
chart detail with aerial photography overlays for a realistic perspective on
your surroundings, such as islands, peninsulas and harbor entrances; and never
get caught off course without chart data again.
Passport OnBoard is a new and unique way to obtain chart data for the 972 by
eliminating the need for storing and keeping track of individual chart
cartridges. With Passport OnBoard, Nobeltec Passport charts of the entire world
are pre-loaded and stored right inside the 972. No more swapping chart chips in
and out of your plotter. When you need a chart for a new area, simply call the
Passport OnBoard Chart Center to purchase an unlock code for instant access to
detailed charts for any destination.
